If you're planning a home birth local to us (in South East Hampshire) and looking for a birth pool we have one you might want to borrow.
This is a Birth Pool in a Box Eco Mini pool. The cost to borrow the pool is £125. This includes your individual use hose and pool liner and a donation to IPBB which helps us continue to provide support to local families. The loan period is two weeks before your "due date" until your baby is born. We have a standard loan agreement that you will need to sign when you book the pool. FAQ
1. Is where I live included as local to you?
If you can pick up the pool in person from a member of our committee (Southsea, Waterlooville, Cosham or Fareham) you're close enough to borrow a pool.
2. I'm pretty sure my due date isn't when my baby will arrive can I borrow the pool earlier or later?
Yes, we know you may know your body better than a randomly assigned due date. If you let us know when you expect to give birth and when you would like to have the pool from we will do our best to fit your dates.
3. What if my plans change and I don't use the pool can I have my money back?
The donation you make to IPBB is not refundable once you've picked up the pool but if you return the pool liner and hose sealed in the original wrapping you can be refunded £25. If you cancel your booking well in advance of picking it up we may consider refunding some of your donation on a case-by-case basis.
4. I would really love to borrow the pool but it's just too expensive for me, do you offer any discounts?
In some circumstances, we may be able to help with the cost. If you're struggling financially please get in touch by email and we can chat about this. We also accept referals from some other local support services. Again please contact us if this may apply to you.
5. I filled in the contact form but I haven't heard anything back why not?
We will always reply by email to anyone who filled in the contact form, almost always within 48 hours. If you haven't had an email back within a couple of days please check your spam folders in your email program and if you don't find anything email us on [email protected] or message us on Facebook or Instagram @informedpbb and check.
